John Brooke於1986年在英國的Digital Equipments Co Ltd工作時,所發展的系統使用性量表(SUS)是一個在產品易用性研究上常被採用的主觀感受量表。
他目的是幫助企業了解其產品整體的易用性,以使用者之角度評估系統的可用性。其做法為讓使用者針對系統整體的可用性,在10項題目做分數選擇表示認同的程度,共分為Strongly Disagree至Strongly Agree。由於其資料的蒐集與分析簡單及不會耗用大量人力及經費,常常被研究學者或企業拿來作為評估系統可用性的工具。其計算之方式為將問卷之第1、3、5、7、9題將每一題之原始分數減1,再將第2、4、6、8、10題的原始分數用5去相減即得全部之原始分數。把這些分數全部加總後乘以2.5即可以得到SUS總分。一般來說商用的實用系統SUS分數最好可以達到80分,不過只要是6,70分以上大致上就算是可以。
