麥肯錫全球研究所(McKinsey Global Institute)在102年5月下旬公布，從100種科技中選出有可能在2025年帶來14兆至33兆美元經濟效益，且可能改變未來生活、企業經營與全球經濟的12項科技：

5. 先進機器人技術
6. 可自主或半自主導航與駕駛的交通工具
7. 新一代基因組學
8. 能源儲存
9. 3D印刷
10. 更強韌和更有傳導性的先進材料
11. 石油和天然氣探勘與發現
12. 再生能源
